All About Urban Rebounders

Perhaps you've seen people jumping around on some infomercial and wondered what they are doing and why are they doing it. They are most likely advertising a product called an Urban Rebounder. What is it exactly?

An Urban Rebounder is a mini trampoline specially designed to exercise on. Some come with a support rail so if your balance isn't great then you have something to hold onto until you get the hang of it. An Urban Rebounder is much smaller than a regular trampoline and is only a step up off the ground, high enough to that the matting won't touch the ground when you bounce but not too high that you feel unsafe. Unlike a regular full-size trampoline, an Urban Rebounder only fits one person at a time.

Think of an Urban Rebounder as your own personal workout equipment that is portable, cost effective and requires virtually no maintenance. A mini trampoline can be used inside or out depending on the weather and your own preference. Unlike other exercise equipment like a treadmill or stationary bike it doesn't require regular servicing and have ongoing running costs. Most rebounders can be easily folded away when not in use and are cheap alternatives to some of the exercise equipment available for home use. Some come with an exercise video to give you ideas on what to do on your trampoline and provide the motivation you may need to get started.

What should you look our for with an Urban Rebounder?

The main thing is quality. Make sure that you buy an Urban Rebounder that is strong and well made. The last thing you want is for the matting or springs to give way when you are using it.

The other is safety. Make sure that the trampoline springs are fully covered with padding.

If you are new to bouncing then it would be a good idea to purchase one with mini trampoline exercises. You may enjoy bouncing and doing your own thing but you may also find you need more variety to keep you stimulated.

Where Can You Purchase An Urban Rebounder?

You have two choices - you can either get yours from a specialty sport store or from an online retailer.

The main advantage of buying one a store is that if you have any questions a sales representative can answer you immediately and may give valuable feedback on the experience of previous costumers.

However, buying online is great if you know what you want and don't want the fuss of hauling it home yourself. You can get it delivered right to your door without any hassle.
