Mini Trampoline Exercise: Easy Way To Get Fit
by JKronefield
Useful advice on trampolines and rebounders to help you with your trampoline purchasing decision. Learn about different types of trampolines including mini trampolines. You'll also find information on trampoline parts and accessories.
Exercise is important not only to one’s physical health, but also to one’s overall wellbeing. Americans spend billions of dollars on gym and health club memberships in an effort to get fit. However, for just a fraction of the money spent on gym memberships, a much easier way to exercise is available. Mini trampoline exercise can not only provide a way to exercise while watching “Law & Orderâ€, it will--quite literally--put a spring in your step.
Most people immediately think of joining a gym when they decide that the time has come to incorporate some exercise into their life. However, the fact that gyms are crowded and expensive is causing many people to look for alternatives. Working out at home can be the ideal solution. Not only will you save money and not have to think about how many people have sweated all over the equipment before you, you won’t have to even pretend not to notice all the sculpted physiques around you.
But what exercise equipment do you need to buy to get a good all-round workout at home? A mini trampoline or rebounder is a popular choice for many reasons. It is a relatively low cost purchase which is easy on your wallet.
But also mini trampoline exercise takes us back to simpler times--lazy summer afternoons at a neighbor’s house or later winter nights jumping on the bed during a sleepover. It is a wonderful way to not only take you back to a former time, but also a former body weight.
Its not all about size
You don’t have to have a big backyard to enjoy exercising on a trampoline. Mini trampolines can fold up to fit under a bed or couch. Bounce away the pounds while watching TV or listening to music, without the discipline needed for a ThighMaster or AbRoller. Mini trampoline exercise is also fun and full of variety.
Mini trampoline exercise is simple, fun, and versatile. Mini trampolines are an easy way to exercise that will be used for years to come. It is one way to rest assured that your exercise equipment will be used for years to come.

Old Trampolines Can Be Extremely Dangerous
by Melanie Hudson
Trampoline is the magical toy for millions of kids who are watching Peter Pan at home and dreaming of flying just as this fairytale superhero can. Trampolines have that addictive attraction, which makes people bounce and bounce and laugh and smile whole day through, without even noticing the pain slowly sneaking into their legs. The bouncing effect is no more than a consequence of a piece of cloth and some springs attached to the frame with tension so extreme, that bounces off the energy received from a jumper. For these and for many other reasons the trampoline stays one of the most desirable ways of killing time for kids.
Besides the obligatory grill for barbecue, the trampoline occupies a special place with American families and their children, adding at least one plus to the overall unhealthy life modern children and teenagers are living in the States. When buying a trampoline most individuals like to believe that they have bought a highly durable product, expecting it to function properly for many years to come. Even buying a high quality trampoline from Bazoongi or Super Tramp producers, is no guarantee that your trampoline will be all weather-proofed for years. Many trampoline owners would not go that far to think of consequences of a suddenly broken or poorly preserved trampoline: broken legs, head injuries, spine dislocations even coma, all those scenarios can hit an irresponsible trampoline owner like a lightning.
Protecting your family and yourself from trampoline accidents is as easy as buying a trampoline cover, which will not only protect your trampoline from deteriorating, but also prevent kids using it without your permission or supervision. It is simply not worth the stress of seeing your investment loosing on value or the continuous fear that something bad can happen to your kids, hence a trampoline cover is a cheap way to put those worries behind.
There are four main reasons why a trampoline cover is advisable for usage on outdoor trampolines-
1. A trampoline cover is that second protective layer that keeps the trampoline pad safe from external influences and protects the springs from unnecessary rain exposure.
2. The most common source of damage to your trampoline is perhaps natural occurrences like heavy rainfall, sudden gusts of violent wind and also sunshine sharply beating down.
3. It is true that a single hailstorm will not do much harm to your trampoline, but sum up all the external effects through years and what you get is a broken device or at least severely damaged.
More or less anything that stay and rots on the pad of trampoline, will have an acidic effect to the material, causing it to become porous and eventually it will tear apart.
4. Accumulating rainfall can be equally bad and this is why trampoline cover companies now ensure that all products are waterproof in nature and can dry easily even after a heavy downpour.
The producers of trampoline covers have been introducing covers that offer quick and reliable drainage of the rainwater from the cover and besides protecting the trampoline beneath also protecting the cover itself from acidic rain.
Water and humidity can only put so much damage your trampoline, without a trampoline protection other influences combined with rainwater can cause further damage. Excessive glare of the sun can increase the rate of wear and tear of your trampoline. The UV rays are known to cause molecular structures to break down, causing the material to loose its initial characteristics and exactly the same thing will happen to your outdoor trampoline if not protected by a suitable trampoline cover.
Trampolines are way too much fun to be left unused, but the fun has to be bulletproof in terms of safety. Owing to its shape and to its size, trampolines have a pretty big chance to get sooner or later damaged by a some kind of falling object, tree branches, falling debris or other. A trampoline cover will help your trampoline survive without a scratch all kinds of different events.
A trampoline placed next to a house can get damaged in a snap if for example a child accidentally breaks the window and that sharp glass falls down on the trampoline, cutting the pad apart. Immagine falling from 6 feet hight down to the trampoline that suddenly tears apart, it can be extremely painful and it also can be lethal for the injured jumper.
Trampoline parts are not a solution for years of merciless exposure to the sun, the cold and the rain. A single trampoline spring can cost you more than a whole trampoline cover. 10 Reasons To start Good Rebounding
By: Craig Burton
For similar levels of heart rate and oxygen consumption, the magnitude of the biomechanical stimuli is greater with jumping on a rebounder trampoline than with running, a finding that might help identify acceleration parameters needed for the design of remedial procedures to avert deconditioning in persons exposed to weightlessness." N.A.S.A., Journal of Applied Physiology 49 (5): 881-887
"The mini trampoline [rebounder] provides a convenient form of exercise with a major advantage being its apparent low level of trauma to the musculoskeletal system." Journal of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, 1990: 10; 401-408
Previously I have written about the need for a synergy in achieving optimal health (including fat loss) by maintaining/or building those metabolism furnaces (muscle mass), performing cardio in moderation to effectively transfer nutrients throughout the body and having supportive nutrition and lifestyle habits.
Here's a novel way to perform cardio exercise especially for those living in a cold climate and stuck indoors at the moment - Rebounding.
Rebounding involves using a mini-trampoline to jog, twist or step walk on the spot. The benefits of rebounding have been well documented by many professionals in rehabilitation and conditioning.
Dr. James White, director of research and rehabilitation at the University of California, believes it is more effective for fitness and weight loss than jogging or cycling while producing fewer injuries. (3)
Here are 10 reasons to start Rebounding:
1. Stress reduction Increasing endorphin output has a stabilizing effect on the nervous system through. Increased oxygen flow increases our sense of well being without the toxic side effects of narcotics or anti-depressants.
2. Improved oxygen levels This leads to an increase in physical and mental efficiency.
3. Detoxification Today a good detox is an essential component to any wellbeing program. Rebounding helps clear the lymph glands and loosen the toxins within the subdermal portion of the skin in the body, and finally through perspiration the body can remove toxins including heavy metals and cellular waste.
4. Stimulates healing A superior exercise for those that are immune compromised including cancer and MS. Rebounding increases white blood cell count, providing a greater defense system to destroy cancer.
5. Economical A single Rebounder can provide years of daily exercise. It is convenient for those that are homebound, unable to jog or access a gym.
6. Efficient It is readily portable (folds and fits into its own travel case) and stores neatly out of the way. Great for apartment, home, trailer dwellers or travelers. One can rebound all year round - indoors or outdoors, rain or shine.
7. Effective Six minutes of rebounding equals one mile of jogging. One can run several miles in place while rehearsing a speech, singing, talking on the phone, watching TV, listening to music, or while jumping outdoors enjoying "helio" or sun therapy.
8. Stimulates neural activity Medical journalist Dr. Morton Walker notes, when you move and exercise, you engage every brain and body cell. Disabled Children exhibiting a poor sense of rhythm, coordination and balance have been shown to benefit through improving the mind/body connection.
9. Pain relief Increasing circulation and oxygen flow has a natural analgesic effect on the body.
10. Lowers blood pressure, triglycerides, and cholesterol naturally By increasing oxygenation and dilating the blood vessels for smoother and easier transport through the circulatory system. (1) (2)
